There are lots of automotive buying and selling web sites. Why are you so special?
You’re right, there are loads – and they’re as wonderful as we are. No bad-mouthing here. But (and there’s always a ‘but’) nobody forgets buying their 1st car, and at my-1st-motor.co.uk our aim is to make the car buying experience as fresh and exciting as possible. Kinda like it was your 1st.
It may not be your first buy but finding cars that are cheap to buy and cheap to insure isn’t as easy as you think. We’ve tried – hence our shiny website. The cars on our website are ideal for 1st time buyers and people who do not want to pay extortionate sums to get around. None of our cars are higher than insurance Group 5, so you’ll get the best pick from the right bunch.
I’d like to buy my 1st car with you. What assurances can you give me?
Well that’s easy. That’s what we’re here for. We give you as much information as possible to make an informed choice about your car, before you get in touch with the buyer. This saves you time and hassle – and you can get a quote on the car before you buy – so there are no expensive surprises. Our platform brings together car buyers and sellers from around the UK, with cars of all shapes and sizes, typically insurance Group 5 or lower. We perform a wide range of checks on sellers and their cars. Dealer cars go through a 128-point safety check. We’re all about your safety and ensuring you have a great car buying experience. Booyah!
If I have a complaint, who should I tell? What should I do?
We do our upmost to deliver great experiences by bringing together genuine sellers with willing buyers. Problems and misunderstandings can sometimes occur, often with no-one directly to blame. Any issues can usually be resolved between a buyer and a seller directly, but if you are unhappy and would like to make a complaint to us directly, you can contact us by email at email@example.com. We will track your complaint through to resolution. If you are a consumer user of our service, your rights are protected under UK legislation and The Consumer Rights Act 2015.
I have a car to sell, but I am not a dealer. Can I sell my car using your website?
Yes. Yes. And Yes. We setup My1stMotor precisely for this reason. If you want to sell your car, you can do so by signing up as a User to www.my-1st-motor.co.uk, and using our platform to advertise your car to all our web site visitors. As standard, if you sell one car, you are treated as a Consumer User of our service. If you wish to sell more than one car (you know, 2 or more and in relatively quick succession) you are treated as Dealer User, and Dealer Terms and Conditions will apply.
Do I buy directly from your website?
This is an interesting question. The My1stMotor platform brings together a buyer and sellers of cars. We do not transact any money for the sale or purchase of a car, so you are not buying from us. We are an online market place to search for cars available to buy. Our role is to put great buyers and sellers in touch with each other. You may agree to pay us to promote the sale of your car through our website, but you don’t buy the car from us. As we grow well into the future, our role may change, and we will make it clear to our customers when/if that happens. No sweat.
How do you support your customers?
We are here for you. Think of it as a stable relationship, going-steady with the prospect of a long, happy and fulfilling life. And once we’ve run out of things to say to each other, we can tie the knot. Just kidding. …Unless?
Jokes aside, we have a long, long, long history with cars. Buying them, selling them, fixing them up and the rest. We give as much information about a car by getting that info from buyers and presenting it to you to make really informed decisions about whether or not to purchase from the seller. That includes seller ratings, multiple checks and much more. Plus, we are available to answer questions if you have them. And we’ll be introducing a range of subsidiary services that are bound to make you smile. Watch this space.
